For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him
shall not perish but have eternal life.   John 3:16

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Philippians 4:4

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all
your mind.  This is the first and greatest commandment.  Matthew 22:37-38

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.   Let us
not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one
another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.  Hebrews 10:24-25

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:   Who, being in very nature God,  
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,  but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.    And being found in
appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death—  even death on
a cross!   Philippians 2:5-8

And now, O Israel, what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God,
to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all
your soul, 13 and to observe the LORD's commands and decrees that I am giving you today
for your own good?   Deuteronomy 10:12,13

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
